Meet Karen Faillace, Au.D., CCC-A
Dr. Karen Faillace joins the ChEARS Hearing Center after having worked at Rady Children’s Hospital Audiology for over 34 years. Although her passion and background are in pediatrics, she has extensive knowledge and experience in diagnostic audiology, hearing aid fittings, programming and technology (both traditional hearing aids and bone conduction devices) as well as neurophysiology (ABRs). Her experience includes significant roles in Cleft Palate and Craniofacial Teams and a decade of intraoperative monitoring. She holds a doctorate degree from A.T. Still University/Arizona School of Health Sciences.
She earned her Master of Arts and Bachelor of Arts from San Diego State University. She is licensed by the state of California in Audiology and Hearing Aid Dispensing and holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA). Dr. Faillace is able to provide some services in basic sign language and limited Spanish. She believes in a family- centered approach to hearing healthcare and invites family members to participate in the process of hearing rehabilitation.
